as dorky as I feel driving it, I'm sure glad I have a minivan to drive to work everyday. R stays at home, nice and comfy.
Doesn't it seem like every week a new "my car got stolen" thread comes up on here? Man, eventually there won't be more than a handful left if this keeps up.

Car stolen in front of my house in front of my room, with window open.
no glass, no rubber, and maybe no hood open which is would sound the alarm.
If they want it, they get it.

Integra Type R is the #1 stolen car in America. Actually it's the Acura Integra model as a whole. But we all know what model thieves look for the most!
In the late 80's early 90's, Buick Grand Nationals and GNX's had a life expectancy of 15 minutes parked unattended on the street in an urban area. Nowadays Type R's have replaced the Buicks in highly desired, low production cars that are chock full 'o parts for mundane car owners to gobble up! Hybrids are nothing new. There were many a Cutlass Supreme and Monte Carlo running around with full Turbo Buick drivetrains in them back in the days. And its no different with the R. Best wishes in finding your car Schanx!

Man Schanx - and I was just about to tell you that you had some decent pictures in the first run batch from the expo I got last night.
I really hope they find her man. If not, check in with Acura of Bakersfield. When I was heading home from the Expo, I noticed they had a '98 with a lot of Mugen Parts and only 14k miles on it. Looked to be in primo condition. The advertised price was 21k. It might still be there, as there are not a lot of R owners in Bakersfield from what the salesman told me.
Good luck!

How about making a cardboard type R and leaving it in the driveway while you park your R safe and sound somewhere else. Then wire the model car to highly explosive C4, about maybe 100lbs or more. Now I'd like to see him walk away alive...hahaha.
I hate to say it, but theives make the economy go around. But make sure if you steal from me that you make sure that I'm either dead or tied up.

i hear you.. that will the ultimate security.. C4 equip.
Garry- i would love to to see the pictures if you can email or link it to me.
The R that was stolen 2 weeks ago is not been recovered yet, which the kind Sheriff lady check in front of me while dispatching, the 1st thing she said what kind of Integra and at the same time we said Type R and what color and once again both said yellow, not even my insurance company know what a Type R was.
So... hopes are low, but still positive. Hope they find my R, and catch the bastards that took it.

I'm incredibly lucky. They found the R just one day after it was stolen.
According to what I saw this is how they probably started it up. Bent the driver side glass enough to unlock the doors. Broke the steering column. Somehow started the car.
They also ripped apart my interior and removed my tracking device.
Also they ripped out my dashboard. Looking for a lo-jack brain probably.
