i have spark but no fuel
89 hb 1.5 i get no fuel from tank when key in run pos. is there a simple way to test to failing point.

 

check for voltage at the fuel pump wire harness. if there is voltage, jumper the harness at the main relay so the fuel pump stays on. if there is no pump noise it is prolly a bad pump. if the pump is working it is prolly your main relay that is bad

 

I had this problem a while ago and it was my main relay. Turn your key to pos 2 and you should hear a whirring sound for about 2 seconds. This is the main relay giving power to the fuel pump. if you don't hear this whir then it is most likely your main relay.
