Ok heres the deal. I have a stock b16 and im assembling a turbo kit for it. After it is all together i will have around 1400 left over to make my engine strong enough to handle the turbo. I have a electronic boost controller so i wont be running a lot of boost unless it is needed so i dont know wether or not to get better cams pistons rods and stuff or just leave my engine like it is? I guess my main question here is do i need to put in stronger cams and stuff or could i just get away with not doing anything to it and put the money else where? If you guys could help me out that would be great. Thanks

put rods and pistons gsr cams if u have them

 

what kind of rods and pistons? and why gsr cams? why not civic type R or sumthing like that?? im just trying to get a feel for all of this turbo stuff thats why im asking all of the questions....thanks though

 

too much overlap with those pistons , im stickign with my R ones, to see what i can muster from thme , but b16 and b18c1 are preffered by most people

 

so what kind of pistons and cams do you guys recommend for me? and should i get a block guard or is it not really needed if im not going to be boosting a lot?
