Default problems with safc and 550cc injectors ... im going to shoot myself

ok well long story short.

i got a revhard stage 2c turbo kit
turbo xs boost controller set at 10psi
a set of virens 550cc injectors with obd2 clips
trying to tune it with a afc

wired everything up, was so so ....felt like ****.....realized that one of the clips had a bad connection. (also noticed that on virens clips, the red wire seems to be always connected to the ground, while the yellow wire is connected to the signal wire, is that normal for these clips, i wasn't sure since the clips are ford, but they dont seem to fit the other way.)

after that i couldn't seem to get the damned car out of lean. it stayed there constantly. have a a/f gauge just for a general idea and always stayed on red.
smoked alot of the times when i was messing with the settings. tried almost every setting there was with no luck.

could the spark plugs be bad? i have bosch platinum +4's in there right now because im waiting on other plugs. but are there any plugs i could get from autozone ?

im really hoping i can figure this out. i took off the fmu and the map sensor check valve when i installed the afc. could that be a problem?

Bosch plugs are bad, and I don't think you can lean out the 550's with the afc. You'll prolly need to get a 3 bar map sensor, and use that with the afc. Sorry I couldn't help much, but search. There are a lot of post here about this.

the problem isn't that i cant lean them out, its that no matter what i seem to do, its ALWAYS leaned out, its like im not running rich at all.

what engine do you have?
is your CEL on?
what's your fuel pressure?
what are your afc settings?
if your a/f guage isn't bouncing back and forth, you have problems with your O2 sensor.
get some copper plugs. gap it to anywhere between .035-.025
most likely you are running too rich.

1.) b18b obd2
2.) my cel is always on, but i will reset and check it out
3.) stock fuel pressure
4.) i have tried all settings, from -50 to +20 doesn't make a difference
5.) a/f does not bounce back and forth, it stays at lean
6.) i think i might get some copper plugs today

update: took the bosch platinum +4's out to check, the electrode has been burned off, so that could DEFINITELY be a factor, im going to try to go to autozone and fine some ngk zfr7f-11's to use.

update: i got the plugs in, pretty much set everything at -50% hi/low and got the idle somewhat ok, but its still full rich under wot. doesn't throw a code, the a/f gauge goes back and forth now at idle. :next question

if i purchased a fpr (im thinking the aem) and turned down the fuel pressure from what it is now (which is stock) i could then lean it out a bit more correct?

with 550cc injectors i dont think you'll be able to trim enough fuel to prevent going rich up top.

only other option would be to turn up the boost but i think thats out of the question because around 11psi you'll get the map sensor code.

you're better off ditching the 550s and getting 440-450cc injectors.

running too low of a fuel pressure is not good for the engine. (i think... someone correct me if i'm wrong)
