Default Shifting Problem. Bad Clutch

Recently my car has been chattering when I start off in first and the the car will not let me go into gear when shifting at higher rpms and it is still notchy at low rpms. It happens with every gear and there is no grinding so I pretty much ruled out the synchros. Any ideas as to what part in the clutch assembly is causing this? Thanks for any tips.

i'm having that same problem... I was told it was the clutch.... either your disc is shot or if you need a clutch adjsutment... but doubt it at that point... need a new clutch... My clutch makes this squeek getting our fo first gear, I can drop into 3rd at 80mph anymore and i get a wrotten egg smell....

thanks for the tip. I already ordered a new clutch kit. That will be a fun project. Has anyone pulled their tranny with car on jack stands or do you have to have a lift?
