although a 98 integra GS is 600lbs light than a 98 accord Ex, a accord's engine is .5 larger than a integra's engine so that should make up for the weight difference (don't quote me on that, just assuming), & a accord has 150hp and a integra has 140hp. the integra will win 1/4mile for sure because of the weight difference but who will win if the cars were raced on the freeway where weight doesn't matter, just SPEED.

I was on the highway with my buddy and i began racing a mid 90's teggy. I think it was a 1.6. I have a 92 Accord EX with almost no performance mods....in fact, I had extra weight in the back and my friend. He was a head of me, and after I reached about 105-110, i began pulling away slowely until I hit 120. Then I shut it down because of traffic conditions. But I was still pulling away.

Am i confusing it with the civics or something??? didnt some come with 1.6 or 1.7. Anyway, the one i raced was a lower trim model, not a gs or whatever it is.

my 93 ex races a 99 integra...i think it was a ls...i only have an intake and he had i/h/e i think...both auto...anyway, from dead stop...we matched each other exactly...no gain or losses...all the way till like 70 mph when we had to slow down...

it depends on the transmission, trim levels, mods, etc...dunno if a 6th gen will alot more weight could match it

there is no accord beating an integra. i have a 98 non vtec, and wife has a 2000 lx accord with 150. i use to whip her *** on take off hwy. and we both have manual. but no the turbo's in its a waste of time. put it this way. i ran better times that a h22 accord with nos on it. so expain that.

An Integra doesn't come in a 1.6L, well at least not the second generation(90-93) or the third generation(94-2001), these two are 1.8L DOHC 140HP for 92-2001.

Anyone of you who say a Accord will smoke a Integra is obviously smoking something. A Accord first of all, only has a SOHC, so it's only meant for hauling ***, not racing. Second it weighs 500-600 pounds more then a Integra, so no 2.2 or 2.3L is going to make up that weight difference vs a Integra. Anyone driven a Integra know that the 1.8L DOHC is very fast off the line. And factor in the fact that it only has a SOHC, and weighs 5-600 pounds more, and you get=Integra beats Accord.

do YOU no the difference btween SOHC/DOHC ? wen u race, don't u haul ***? i no n e integra will smoke n e accord off the line cuz integras r lighter, but wat im talkin about is on the freeway where weight don't mean much only how much juice ur car has. so u'r tryin 2 say a civic w/ a 1.6 n 130hp will smoke a 2.3 150hp accord cuz of it's weight?

im talkin about the freeway, not drag, 1/4 mile or watever u wanna call it...

from 60-100 an integra is going to whip an accords ***. thats the bottom line. the gearing in a accord is all f-ed up and slow.

um..how come it's gonna whip an accords *** from 60-100, unless u drive a GSR but otherwise...how? have u ever raced an accord on the freeway bsides ur wife? the difference btween integras/accords gearing wen downshifted is probably a couple tenths of a which means pretty close (correct me if im wrong, guesstimation, but it is like dat 4 auto vs manual). wen both cars r bone stock, look at the specs. integras only got an advantage cuz of their weigh. power-wise, accords got more juice.

bottom line is a integra will win i mean cmon . thats like saying a civic can beat a prelude. no contest. enuff said. if u think u have a accord that can beat a integra then good for u, but dont sell ur self short. ive raced plenty of accord. 2000, 97, and a 93. whipped them all. and they all had basic bolts ons

What is the obsession with Integras and Accords racing one another. Bottom line is the more HP you can generate to faster you will go. My buddies Integra will spank me off the line and probably in the 1/4 mile. 1 mile run he's mine. He straps a bottle of NOS and I'm toast...whatever. What we all should be doing is looking for Mitsu's and Yota's to spank and guy's with mullets to laugh at. We all own Honda's that should be our common bond!!
