Default ITR head flow compared to a base P&P'ed B16 head

Just wondering if anyone has any input on this...

How well would a $700-$750 P&P job (going on prices for base porting from Alaniz, Portflow, DPR, etc.) flow compared to a stock ITR head? I'd either look into getting a B16 head street ported or use an ITR.

Significantly more? About the same? This is just for a mild daily driver, so if the "street" porting from the above places is not much different from an ITR head...well, then I'll know what to go with

if you c ould find an itr head for that cheap, get it. otherwise go with the p&p'd b16.

I won't go into the long story about my financial situation, but suffice to say that the cost of the head doesn't matter. Just looking at it from an air flow standpoint.

So the difference is negligible?

a stock itr head is just hand ported and polished, so i would agree....

The work done on an R head is very minimal. It's only a mild bowl port, the runners are stock. The Alaniz, Portflow, whoever head would be better.

the itr intake valves prolly makes the most difference on the itr head, get the p/p b16a head, ITR valves and focus on headporter who spends 70% of his time/effort on valveseat work, thats where you'll find most power ...

Thanks for all the info, guys. Can anyone give an estimate of numbers? I ask purely because this is a low-budget build, with fairly unambitious goals. Just something for fun on the street and for autocross. So I'm maybe not looking for this:

But more for a cost-effective setup—i.e. the best job is not something I'm looking at. Just a street porting.

Yes, I'm aware of that, but is this (from Alaniz):

"Street port and polish which is: (bowl port, match port intake 1 inches into runners only. Polish, deshroud and debur all chambers.) Street Master valve job."

...much better? That's all I want to know

I'm trying to decide whether to use a new ITR head or just P&P my B16. And right now, my question is only on flow.
