lately i have been hearing a very slight ticking, kind of like the injectors but a bit out of place. just like something is out of wack. well when my girl left for work today i heard it from the outside. there is something deffinately not right. something is out of place and is creating a rattling sound until you give it more gas. i know this is quite vague but i figured someone might have experiance with this.

it is a 2000 SH with 58k. driven hard daily. if and when i get more info then i will elaborate.

i was thinking since i have to chang the timing belt i might as well do a valve adjustment.

sounds like the valves to me. get a valve adjustment and then see if that helps.

 

You never had a valve adjustment yet? If not I agree and suggest to get a valve adjustment and see if it helps.

not that i know of. i bought the car with 42k on it. and have just done routene stuff so far. when is it supposed to be done?

 

its usually the valves or either you a/c belt, alternator belt, or ps belt if it goes with the rpm.

 

i also have this problem but im sure its my valves, well pretty sure anyway, is that something i can do in a day or something to leave up to a mechanic, and how much might ir set me back?
