4th gen shift linkage...
i'm currently in the middle of putting my engine back in, and while i was at it i thought i'd do a 5-speed swap. :D i need to know if the shift linkage is run over or under the rear beam and if it has to run from the drivers side of the rear motor mount or the passenger side. the linkage is the only thing i have left to do to complete the swap so all help would be appreciated.
oh and if any one can take some pics of the linkage routing so i could get a visual that would be awesome
thanks

hey, i am thinking of trying to swap a JDM h22, and at the same time converting the car to manual... did you get yours done yet? how did the shift linkage hook up? how hard was it to put in the shifter and every thing else related? how hard was it to put in the clutch pedal? thanks alot.
how easy is it to punch out the hole in the firewall?
and if I remember correctly, the only way to get linkage at the proper angle is to go around the driver's side of the mount, and underneith it. Any other way, and it doesn't fit.
edit: heres a pic

right click, cut, paste, and add .orig.jpg for the big version

there is a mounting point on the subframe and a bracket that attaches the linkage on the back top of the subframe if you attach that it will be pretty obvious where the linkage will go
