.. when im in low RPM..i hear a small ticking sound when i try to make it boost on a low rpm.. like lets say...2gear at 2500 rpm.. and if i was to go almost full throttle i hear small little ticking.. but when im in higher rpms like 4k it doesnt make any ticking sound...it goes away when it fully spools...ive checked the shaft play almost none what so ever.. its a 18g turbo from a greddy kit.. i kno its not my valves any ideaS?

 

ok u said no shaft play... so when u push it side to side, or pull it, it doesnt budge whatsoever?
I got a turbo from a junkyard (Borg Warner IHI) and the entire shaft/blade assembly was able to pull outward a lil bit before I took it apart and put it back together tightly

 

theres really no shaftplay in my turbo.. but that doesnt solve my problems at all..on what your saying.

 

sorry dude, just thought maybe tightening the reverse thread screw on the compressor blade might help a lil, I dont see why it would be making a noise at low rpms (low spool)
if its somethin in the turbo then most likely its gonna make noise constantly... take the turbo apart and look at the shaft to see if its oddly worn
