attn: all b20 owners... i need some help identifying which B20 i have exactly without taking the head off...

here's the information on the motor..

B20B block stamp... (so i know it's a JDM motor)
P-75-6 head stamp
2-layer head gasket
no factory knock sensor
also has 'p3f' stamped on the back side of the block

i need some help finding out which b20 i have because i know there is a low comp one and a high comp one...

 

i might be wrong, but i think the b20B is the low compression b20 while the b20Z has high compression.

No knock detector = Low compression

If the pistons say P3F on them, then yes it's the higher 9.6:1 compression JDM B20B Orthia motor ( https://honda-tech.com/zero...age=4 &lt;--- check out the pictures I took on my old B20 motor).

 

There is also a 9.2 compression motor that is believed to be floating around.... No one really knows tho.

hey newman.. did your old b20b motor have a knock sensor? was it the high comp one?
