Default NEED HELP! b18b swap into civic hatch question

hey a friend just swapped a b18b integra ls motor into a 94 civic hatch and everything works but there is a real bad vibration coming from the drivers side wheel. what could cause the wheel to shake so badly? he used the axles from the integra. could that be the problem? thanks in advance.

Ok, I am the guy who owns the car and what it feels like is the CV joint is messed up and is clicking and popping but the boot on the joint is fine and it does it when you have the wheels straight (does even when NOT turning the car left or right).
I think it might be a bad bearing in the axle but dont know.....Thanks in advance for any help.
Peace

Make sure it's seated properly, if so replace the axle...

<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by ATL-R &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">what it feels like is the CV joint is messed up and is clicking and popping but the boot on the joint is fine and it does it when you have the wheels straight (does even when NOT turning the car left or right)</TD></TR></TABLE>

The boot doesn't have to be torn or messed up for the joint to be bad. If it has a lot of excessive play then chances are it's shot or near it, so check that first. If not that then you might have a bad wheel bearing.

Jack the car up, then check the tire for vertical and horizontal freeplay. Excess vertical freeplay could be wheel bearings, upper or lower ball joints. Side to side freeplay can be a tie rod. If it's a tie rod end, or a ball joint, you can see what's wrong, if you don't see anything wrong with those, then just assume wheel bearing/hub assembly.

Make sure the axel nut and the lug nuts are tight.
