Hey guys, I'm usually in the prelude forum, but my mom has an accord and its been makin some messed up noises recently. While the car is in motion, it sounds like something is rubbing against the front right wheel well. Its not caused by the engine because when I put it in neutral and rev the engine, i don't hear anything, but simply when the car is in motion. Can anyone help me out with this?????

 

Check the lugnuts, make sure they're torqued down.

When was the front brake pads replaced? It sounds as if it's time to change the brake pads, or that you got some dirt stuck between the pads and the rotor.

 

i had dirt in btwn mine, cuz my accord was sittin oin the lot a while...only happened for like a day then went away. Only wen u brake though.

 

Hey Param did you figure out the problem?

 

Pull off the front wheels. Look for rub marks on the plastic fenderwells.

check the rotors and brakes and see if they're worn out

come on, its only 8 bolts to check it out.

 

Turned out to be the brakes. It would have been my last guess since I heard the noise even when my foot wasn't on the brakes. Guess you learn something everyday. Anyways, thanks for the help guys
