Default thta's right... another radiator fan post

Just wondering how i would wire my 12 v fan to be one whenever i start the car. how would i go about doing that so that the fan wont blow or whatever i connect toe wires to doesn't blow out

I would take the power from the fuse box. I would find a wire that is only hot when the key is on (radio, airbag, etc.). It will turn off and on with the key.

Does the fan come with a relay? There is a fair amount of amperage running through one, so don't just run it off the wires from the fuse box. You can get a 20amp relay from Radio Shack for a few bucks, run the switched side direct from the battery, then run the switching side from something that only comes on with the key on.
