Default 1997 LX exhaust help

I am looking to buy a catback for a 1997 EX. All the places I have looked have said EX only in the description. Does it really matter if it is an EX or an LX? Any help would be great!

shouldn't matter. Unless one is different to clear the sway bar or something along those lines. If you have the LX it'll probably fit just fine even if that is true.

the lx exhausts does matter from the ex model. Some of the lx models came w/ a 3 bolt cat flange at the front "where the header joins the cat". If you have a 3 bolt flange, then there are no options but to modify or build a custom exhaust. IF you have a 2 bolt cat flange then your choices are apexi world sport or dc sport exhaust. Those are the 2 most reputable companies that make catback exhausts for the car. For the money, I would just do the apex i as you get a japanese exhaust, mandrel bent piping, 95 decibles, and a polished muffler. you can check our site for prices. Hope this helps you, Later, Andy
