Default 94 LS turbo Project Help

I have a 94 LS that I'm planning to turbo and need help (mainly fuel system help) Keep in mind I am not going for high boost, or extremely low times, and want to keep this a CHEAP TURBO project, if there is such a thing, yeah.

The turbo I am using is a remanufactured TB0343 you may know it from the Saab 9000. I plan to run somewhere between 7-9 pounds of boost. I am having troubles getting a fuel management system together, without dropping a grand.

The only cheap solution I see so far is the "Greddy Blue Box FCU". From what i can tell this wires to your injectors, power, ground, and speedo and is programmed for the D series engine's fuel map. I would think it would still function OK on my b18b. I am thinking of buying this box, and completing the turbo, then just watching the air/fuel gauge and make sure it does ok, then if it runs lean, go with a better system.

Please post any info or suggestions. Thanks.

$1000?? fuel management on my g2 Teg is only costing me a few hundred...

$550 for Zdyne silver ecu, DSM 450cc injectors($40 + $44 for cleaning and blueprinting)

you could even run 450s and the AFC hack which might cost even less. I'm just getting started on my project, but there are some good threads in the archives of the FI forum that talk about fuel management!

there are plenty other fuel solutions out there that will run you less than a grand!<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by 94lsboost &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">I am having troubles getting a fuel management system together, without dropping a grand. </TD></TR></TABLE>

Dude, if you're looking to spend less than a grand. Just go with Hondata (400), 450cc DSM injectors (100 on DSM trader), and get it tuned. It's virtually flawless, and everything else can't compare in reliability and performance.

Ok thanks for the advice....does anyone know the specifics of the Greddy blue box? I mean is it horrible? I know it can't be the greatest b/c it's pretty cheap...but it is a very simple solution, and I just dont want to go all out with a fuel management system for like 7 lbs of boost ya know? If i'm gonna do that I might as well tear apart my motor and get it built and decompressed and run like 20 lbs of boost.

Hondata ITs been proven time and time again. Great candidate for your setup.
Dont run the blue box, afc hack ect to save a couple hundred dollars. Do it right the first time and save yourself $ in the long run. Ksmotorsports sells the hondata for cheap. Give kyle a call he'll fix you up.
