I have a Stage 3 Crower for sale for a D16 Vtec. You would need to buy springs and ret. I live just outside of Toronto.

Depends on your budget. Just switching over to a stock Y8 cam will give some more power.

How much of an increase in power would you notice from switching from a Z6 to a Y8 cam? Me and my friend just finished up a "mini-me" headswap (D15B7 Block with Z6 head). We have a Y8 cam laying around but didn't put it in because we were unsure of the gains in power. If it is a worthwhile project we might do it...

i thought everything on the z6 and y8 were the same except the intake mani on the y8 which gives it its 2hp edge..

Check out Nopi.com for a skunk2 cam but they go for about $500 wich is a bit to pricy for me I might go with a zex when I get my cam. I heard some good things about it. Also look in to crower regrinds they do it for $75 dont know about the gains dough

As far as i know the cams are the same. The difference is the Head. The y8 head has square combustion chambers given the y8 head higher compression. Althought the z6 head flows better. I have had both of them flowed. With some work to the y8 head you can get it to flow the same.

Anyone have proof of Z6 and Y8 cam being the same? Rocket seems to know his ****, so until proven wrong, I still want to believe his suggestion that the Y8 cam is indeed better than the Z6 cam...not calling anyone liars or anything, just trying to get all the right info. If someone can shed some light on this for me, it would be much appreciated...especially since this might make my friends car slightly faster.

You think that small increase in lift and duration would be noticeable/worth the time to swap out cams?

check out groupbuycenter.com for the skunk2 cam. ive seen it as cheap as 440 bucks. with regard to the skunk2 stage 1, the duration is listed as 225degrees intake and 220 exhaust at 1mm. how does the 1mm compare to duration at .05". im still pretty noob when it comes to some stuff..
