why are you putting a y8 cam inthere? if you are looking for gains, there isnt any. and actually if you dont know the difference between the 2, you'll run into some problems.

If you wanna stay OEM get a JDM D15B camshaft. It's more aggressive than the D16Z6 or the Y8 cam. There's aftermarket cams too of course...

It's a JDM only motor.

It came in a laundry list of cars in Japan, I don't know the whole list.

Why not just use a regular Z6 cam? If you use an aftermarket cam you're going to have to have it tuned accordingly.

It has to be a VTEC camshaft in a VTEC head to retain VTEC - and the JDM D15B is VTEC. The cam will swap over 100% like a Z6 replacement into your Z6 - though like I said, it'll need to be tuned...if you don't have a way to tune it you're best off just keeping the Z6 cam b/c the D15B cam won't help you without a tune - no original engine type will.

I think that's that 8 valve POS non-VTEC motor from the hf's.

dude forget about d15b its way to hard to find and there is a 3 stage vtec version they. i have never seen a d15b cam only sold anywhere. also the d15b will not require a tune.

Never ever listen to syndicate again.

and just get a d16z6 cam

The cam should work fine in 2/3 stages.

Any cam that's not stock requires tuning for optimal performance.

Listen, I think spork is calling you for your midnight *** *******.

EDIT:
BTW:
to = too

Now I know why you and Spork always hang out and *** expletive - you're equally as retarded .

and just like Spork as soon as you're proved wrong you change the subject.

Between the two of you, seriously, you guys could possibly form the weakest debate team ever created in the world .

I'm going to sleep - you're worthless to argue with.

Final Answer: Stick with a D16Z6 cam or get an aftermarket one. No point in those other cams mentioned above.

and thats after 14 years dealing with all these Single cam setups. Good nite.
