oil pressure gauge how do i hook up?
i have a electrical auto meter oil pressure gauge. i have searched auto meters site and the web and cant find instructions on how to use this. i bought the gauge from some guy and he doesnt know how to use it which kind of sucks. a i missing a sending unit? and if i am where can i get a sending unit that will work with this gauge, or am i going to have to buy a new oil pressure gauge?

thanx a lot. but that sending unit looks a bit big to run off a t fitting on teh back of my block for my oil feed line and my oil sending unit. woud it be better if i just get the mechanical oil pressure gauge that has the oil line fitting already built into it i beleive on the mechanical oil pressure gauge all you have to do is run is a oil line from the t fitting to the gauge instead of a big ole sending unit. am i wrong?
so basically if i got a mechanical oil pressure gauge al i have to do is run a oil line from the back of my block to the gauge it self. is the sending unit built into the gauges on the mechanical oil pressure gauge?

okay...you run a line from the back of the block to a T, don't put that heavy thing on the block it might break off and then you would be in a world of ****, Private Pyle...secondly, just to make sure...is it an elecric gauge you have, or did "this guy" sell you a mechanical one?
i have a electrical gauge. it has no fitting onthe back for a oil line. just wires. but i have another gauge also oil pressure but its my freinds i cant have it it is mechanical and has a fitting on it for a oil line. so im trying to figure ot if i sholg get the sending unit form summit racing and us my electrical gauge or just get rid of it and get a new mechanical gauge and run a line from my t fitting on the back of the block tothe gauge. i think that woul be easier. all i really want to know is if the mechanical gauge needs a sending unit as well or is it built into the guage it self because it already has the oil fitting built in it.
