If I hit rev-limiter with turbo will it hurt my engine?
I am planning on racing tomorrow night at a track and I haven't driven my car much yet with the turbo. I am going to run 7psi; will it hurt my engine if I hit the rev-limiter? Thanks
I wouldnt let the car hit the limiter everytime before you shift. But if it does hit limiter its not gonna hurt the car. Thats why its there.
yes rev limiter and boost do not mix I would not do it you should get a chipped ecu if you think you are gonna keep hitting it cuase it will blow up your motor.........

I bounce off the revlimiter often when I autocross because it isnt worth the time to shift into third gear if a turn is coming up soon.

Yes, I drove for quite a while on the limiter through a slalom
My first thought is that fuel cut is bad, but unless your pooling fuel (before the cut) you'll be running lean to the point that there should be NO combustion and NO detonation...look at it this way; hondata FTL and FTS work with fuel cut and I haven't heard anything bad about this.
