What could it be? The CEL comes on randomly when i drive, but there's never any codes thrown when the ECU is checked. All the ECU does is blink once when i turn on the car. And i've changed the oxygen sensor recently, so that shouldnt be it.

Everything is stock. So the engine's the d16a6, and as for the ECU, how do you check for that?

 

doesn't that mean that there is something wrong w/ teh ECU? I think that I read that in my Helms a whiel back. Lemme check........

 

yup no blinks means to check teh ECU itself.

 

Well it blinks ONCE when i turn the ignition. That means the ECU is all good, right?

thats what everyone else has always said... Just curious, when does your CEL usually come on? Mine does the same thing and it's usually at highway speeds (~80-85 mph) It never puts out a code, just flashes the CEL and stays on until I shut down my car

 

It comes on totally random. Sometimes i'll be on the street, sometimes on the freeway.

 

I have a worthless somestic that does that.... totally random... yikes... I think it's the car gremlins...

Anyway, other than the CEL does it run ok?
