I wonder if a 1998 Integra Type R ECU OBD2 fit 96 GSR? Will it make any different. Would vtec kick in faster or will it be the same as a regular gsr ecu?

 

I think there might be a problem because the engine setup is different. ie - ITR = sinjgle plenum intake mani, GSR dual plenum intake mani; different VTEC points, etc. I'm sure there's more to it than that but I'd think there would be no benefit or else there'd be a lot more people doing that.

 

type-r has no secondaries so if u put the ecu in u wouldnt either

 

it will, if you get obd II to obd I wire harness(ex. skunk2 obd1 to obd2 harness)

 

I have just added a p73 ecu in to my 98 gsr i have not had any problems at all. Ill add some pics soon

 

You didn't any problem with it. So it just fit right in or I have to change any harness or wires.

 

to got from obd II to obd I you will have to use a converter harness. obd 2 to obd 1 converter.
