V6 in a 94 Accord EX???
Guys, i am in the market for a college car (i currently have a 2002 Mustang GT). So i figured i would get something dependable i.e. an accord. I have found one, and it is a 94 Ex, black on black 5 spd. Fully loaded, it has 90k on it and it just had the 90k service done to it. The weird thing is, is that it has a v6 in it, not the usual 2.2L, 4 cyl. Maybe i'm missing something, but was this engine added by the owner, or is there a v6 option for the car? The guy that owns it is the original owner, and it has been pampered. This car is pretty much perfect. What do you guys think is a fair price, i was thinking of offering him somewhere in the ballpark of $6,000. Any imput would be great. Thanks again.
No way could that thing be a V6 5 Speed unless the owner put a TON of money into converting it to a legend 5 speed tranny.
I'm guessing its a misprint or something, v6 accords didn't have manual trannys then, ****, they didn't even have a V6 in accords in 1994....something is fucked up

i just talked to the owner on the phone, to try and find out some stuff about the engine situation. He said that he had the engine custom built by honda before he bought his car??? he said that it is a v6 so... i dunno... i will call him again tomorrow and take some pictures of it and post them, maybe you guys could distinguish something if you saw some pics, b/c i haven't seen anything. I personally haven't seen the car. I've only talked to the owner on the phone.

uhm, honda custom built a manual tranny and a v6 for his accord? v6 is only available for 95+, and all 5th gen v6's are automatic. And I seriously doubt they threw the Legend's v6 in there, if that's the case I'll be sure have them throw an nsx-r engine in my next ride.
Look at the engine bay, you can tell if a car is a v6 or not right? check that **** out cuz this sounds pretty unbelievable.

OK. After some thought I have figured out what the owner of the 94 accord meant to say....
Look this car!!! as the power of an American made V6......
some examples.........
GM V6's
2.8L 120-130HP
3.1L 140-160HP
3.0L 110HP (carb engine)
Ford (except Yamaha motor)
3.0L 140HP
3.8L 140HP (but it is a torque monster)
Chrysler
3.0L 140HP
