Default gremlins in the tranny?

Well, a new sound has entered the world of my 98. When I have the clutch pedal out whether in neutral or driving in gear there is a squeaking noise. Its pitch changes with the rpms. Its a nice high pitch eee..eee.eee.eee.eee. sound. When I push the clutch in it goes away. The first thing that comes to my mind is throw out bearing but the tranny is not in my area of auto expertise.
Since the closest Acura dealer is three hours away this really sucks. Any opinions or guess as to the noise?

btw the car just clicked over 33500 miles.

sounds like the throwout bearing. do you keep your foot on the clutch at lights etc? that could contribute to a shorter throwout bearings life.

yeah i also have the exact same problem as you,and my dealer is abt 3hrs away as well,it sometime seems to come and go,but when i get on it will start making that noise all of a sudden,my itr only has 26000 mile, would the throw out bearing already be wearing out?
