Looking at getting a 94 civic CX as a project car.

I was wondering if i could swap out the tach and the fuel and temp gauges and keep the speedometer so that the current millage will remain the same.

so i would be taking apart two clusters to make one like an EX but with the correct millage


Has anyone done this before?

Some pics of the clusters incase anyone doesnt get what im trying to do.

You could swap the speedometer, it's easy, just be carefull when handling these parts, it's fragile.

yes you can. its pretty easy too.

 

thats what i did to my dx cluster, just swaping the speedometer
and mines was an automantic ex cluster. everything works fine

anyone have any info on the guy that swapped the 99-00si gauges into a 92-95 cluster?

Are you sure that's a CX cluster? I thought only DX came in automatic?

 

let us know how it all works out... "i never thought about just swapping parts in the cluster"....
