ok i have the vin number and the license plate of a car im looking at buying but the guy seems kinda shady, is there a website where i can just check if its stolen or do i have to pay and get carfax that will tell me everything? can someone please run a carfax for me? pm me for VIN number pls. can i call the cops and ask em to run the vin or the plates? what happens if its stolen? tnx

 

if you want carfax do a search, there are plenty of those threads already. Almost 50

 

just take the info to the police station. if it IS stolen, they'll want to know where the car is though. But that's even better for the previous owner.
