whats wrong here?
89 ef hatch/d16a6/pg7 ecu
the car was wired for the dohc zc...and i was using the pg7 with the zc ...i blew the zc and picked up a d16a6 for temporary use..i put 300 miles on the a6 so far...and all of a sudden theres a 3000rpm rev limit...the motor wont rev past 3000rpm...it cant be because im running a pg7 with a a6 motor because i put 300miles on the motor already and this problem was non-existant...it just started doing this yesterday ...i wiggled some wires at the ecu and under the hood..and it went away ..and then came back again....what could it be?
thanks

sounds like some kind of connection issue is putting the ECU in limp mode. If you moved some wires & it went away you should check all of the wiring to ensure good connections, etc.
I agree with DJ sounds like one or more of your wires are not connected like they should be. Next time it happens, check the ECU and see what code is putting you in limp mode...
