Default 6 puck 4 puck or organic type

After some research, I am still not clear on what the functions of each kind of disc are. What is the differenc between each of these. It seems that 6 puck enganges harsher than the 4, and even more so that the organic types. I've read that some of you guys use the 4 puck, while others use the SS type that ACT sells, combined with the XT or HD PP. I like the charateristics of the XT, but I don't understand what the real difference in the discs are.

puck clutches are only needed for strip cars or cars with super high hp . mroe thna likely 98% of the cars in the R forum dont need them , but get thme becuase they think they do , the puck discs haev diff material , and they wear out quickly most of the time from daily driving .but hook great, alsmot too good beucase its easy to break trannies from too much grab.

Im in the market for a new clutch, and from what Ive learned and what I currently have, I wont bother with organic puck clutches again. I believe they are used more for higher HP applications but I could be wrong. If you arent pushing anything like a big turbo or something then you should be fine with a metalic disk like the ACT street disc. I also think the puck type discs engage harder than full discs, and furthermore unsprung would engage harder than sprung. Just what I have heard, dont know if its all true and probably just depends on application and pressure plates, etc.
