Default VTEC head removal step by step?

Unfortunately I over revved my GSR race car at the last Honda Challenge race and bent some valves. Does anyone know of a good step by step for removing the head? I know I should buy a Helm manual. But I am really damn broke right now. I have removed a non-VTEC Prelude head and I imagine it should not be much more difficult. But I would feel better with a good step by step article. Thanks.

You should take some pics of the motor before you start tearing so you can see how it goes back together. Keep in mind most people tend to break the smaller bolts on reassembly so be careful.

I am going to have to agree with the helms manual

With the condition of your head right now, you are going to be having to spend a good amount of money to get it in working order again.

Whats $50 - $60 in making sure that you don't create more problems along the way?

A few weeks ago I helped a friend pull the head off his R, all he had to go by was the helms and some beer.

Why would you need a torque wrench to remove the head? But yes, I am hoping that I can borrow one. I do want to buy one. I have one for my old Prelude. But I would really like to get this head off ASAP and to the machine shop. I guess I will probably just end up charging one to my poor credit card. Hehe. Thanks guys.

We have common sense don't we?
Not to remove, obviously. To reattach, correctly, I hope.

You don not use a torque wrench to take the bolts out. You can ruin a torque wrench by using it to break bolts. I got one at Harbor Freight on sale for $11.95, it works well and is accurate.
