There's about a 5% difference between the two.
205s weigh more and have a slightly wider contact patch, but on a **** tire like the A520 you're not going to notice any difference anyways.

Also, the last time I check the A520 wasn't carried in 15" in the US (I know Japan has them). If you've found them in 15", let me know. -C
oh and to the original post, 205 all the way. much better than 195.

I suppose for the street they're ok but at the track they suck donkey ***** (overheat like a ****). Sorry if I offended anyone, but R compounds are the way to go. peace
BTW I use Toyo Proxes RA-1 Treadwear rating 40

This is for the street. I tracked my car last year on the stock bridgestones and they sucked as far as im concerned. squeeled like murder.
Can they a520's be worse on the track then that?

Squealing is not a bad thing. It is an audible warning that your tires are reaching the end of their adhesion limit. R compound tires have a much higher adhesion limit than street tires which tend to be more tuned for a balance between treadwear, noise, and grip. The general consumer wants a quiet tire that lasts a long time - which compromises grip performance.
Overheating is a bad thing. Generally if the tire overheats, it will blister and large chunks of tire start to shred off.

I have A520's on my 16" wheels; and as far as tread wear and adhesion go; they are very lackluster when I compare them to the S-02's and Sp9000's. Obviously if u wanna go for a cheaper tire (when compared to the above) then ur gonna pay some sort of price..but to me its not worth it..and i didnt even find that the A520's have lasted long. Ive had them for about 5000km's and im seeing a noticable amount of wear..this comes even with balancing, rotating, etc.
they're mainly a street tire for me, so that's fine. i know davew was tracking on them a lot . . . road racing, that is.
and yes, they don't last very long.

The Teg seems to love this little extra rubber on the road.
I would go 205 50 15's on the stock rims with whatever tyre you decide on.
BTW :- I just changed to the A539's, I like 'em so-far.
As you can see, Rubber is a very personal thing. hehe

Yeah, BigPhatF, I mean R (j/k) for track tires I can imagine you'd be dissapointed with any street tire.
IMO go with the 205. More tire on the road, you will notice the difference, and a 205/50 is closer to original diameter, that will keep the speedo acurate.
As far as being **** tires. Any Yokohama is a good tire. It may or may not suit the purpose or needs of the car. I've run A520 & AVS on my old CRX. The 520 has slightly less traction but higher milage. The RE10s are much sticker than the both. Don't expec the same performance out of the A520 as the RE10s.

I dunno the a520 is a **** tire for track because they overheat and loose thier grip, but most people use a different set of tires for the track anyways, yoko a520's dont exactly sell in the 15 in size so I know you guys arent buying them for track use that would be stupid, but for daily driving they are awesome grippy tires... as far as rain is concerned that is a different story, have fun driving only 30 mph any higher and expect to drive a civic/integra on an iced lake.
i just ordered a pair of A520 for $175 CAD. i can expect to have em on the car by by tomorrow the latest. go'n lapping monday, i'll tell you guys how they are.

obviously there is a big difference between the 15" and 16" A520s, as the canadians who despise the A520s have had experience with the 15's and all of the US guys have had experience with 16's and 17's. still a decent street tire, but i'm looking into a set of pzeros or sp9000's for my next tire...maybe the falken azenis, too.
