Default Thanks Guys!

Recently I needed some really good advice on what spring rates to run in my car and .RJ really chimed in also Dale at G.C.

Once I decided to go with both these guys advice TheAntiRice and RacerXI sent me some the springs they weren't using anymore at a very reasonable cost.

Both springs arrived within 2 and 3 days. We installed them tonight and with a quick test drive in a vacant parking I messed around for a few minutes and the car handles so well...now I just have to get the car level.

Ive gotta say (which most members know allready) that this forum is really the best in H-T and its members always ready to help.

Have a two day autox event coming up this weekend and will let you know how the car and driver did.

BTW the current set-up is gc's 330f/400r with agx's (yes I was actually talked out of ordering my Koni Yellows) 205 Azenis, the typical sway bar/strut set-up.

Also I have a diy front upper 3 point strut bar that is going to tested this weekend as well.

....Anyways Thanks Guys I really really appreciate everything.

If anyone else has rates around those (300-400) please send me an IM, I just got my agx's on a few days ago.

Well I just returned from two days of agony and ecstasy. ok not that bad but close.

First off we arrive in Gillette Wy. and about a minute later it starts pouring rain. Next were told that the race is at "X" location , so we go there and it doesnt look like much is happening but hey some clubs do things differently and I had a good source for the location of the race so we go back to the hotel and chill till the next day.

Next day we head out to the event and nobody around...so now were cruisin through town looking for the darn event and we finally get a hold of someone who knows were its at and head there asap.

Race starts at 10 am well 11 oclock rolls around and the first car finds it way to the track...yeah...

This isnt your ordinary parking lot, lots of giant cracks everywhere, patched pavement everywhere, up hill down hill, and it must have been slurried at some point very slick surface...like cement or something.

I figure its all cool cuase thats a part of autoxing learning to drive in different conditions and hey it wasn't raining anymore.

It was odd to see the guys with r compound tires squeeling around every corner no matter how fast or slow...but hey we all have the same disadvantage and I thought perhaps the slick surface may have a few guys rethinking there game plan and giving me a slight advantage.

I did allright on day one but I drove to tentatively, wasnt braking correctly slowing down way to much and just generally being a space cadet.

That night I get sick and crash around 8 pm and sleep till 9:30 the next morning. Heads kinda whacked but I feel like driving (duh)

This time they start earlier like 10:45. Course is awesome, crazy corners every place on the track. sections that you could actually get any speed up had a super tight 90 degree corner to slow you down real quick like.

But overall the layout was fantastic for the lot size...talked to some of the veteran drivers and they all agreed it had been awhile since they had to work so hard (driving) on a course.

I think I was somewhere in the top five or six out of all the cars that showed up (excluding the karts) and took second on my class.

Car feels great, something like the car I had last year, back end gets loose enough around the corners but is controllable and comfortable. Was able to brake very late without worrying about the weight transfer that much and turning the car seemed easier although I "scrubbed" my tires around a corner once and hit three cones in two days

I guess while I was having to much fun I burnt my legs to crisp...currently their throbbing and tough to bend...yeah that was pretty stupid.

Thanks again!!! The improvement in my car is Exactly what I was looking for and I have something to hone my growing skills on with confidence.

what was the reason of buying the agx's over the yellows?

Well mostly cost versus product. This information came from some very experienced sources imo.

The agx's Im told (and not from anyone that sells them btw) are a good shock for autox and the spring rates Im using.

The konis while being superior to the agx still doesn't justify the increased cost.
