Default coilover/spring combo question

I am running GC coilovers with koni shocks in the front and h&r race springs with koni shocks in the back. What is the advantage of running a setup like this? I think both the front and rear spring rates are around 350. What are the disadvantages? My goal is for a little oversteer and depending on what you guys tell me I may just get a rear tie bar or a front strut bar. If I'm going to have HUGE oversteer, I may just get a front strut bar.

Your Strut tower bars are not going to change your suspension enough to change your oversteer understeer characteristics. Why are you not running Round controls all the way around? Are the H&R race springs progressive rate? A lot of lowering springs are, and this is not going to help your setup. Getting HUGE over steer in a FWD car is ah hard thing to do.

Progressive Rate Springs coils are smaller at the ends and the bigger in the middle, and standard rates springs coils are the same size, So what that means is when the a progressive reate spring compress's the spring rate gets higher.

thanks a lot guys.

i just looked at my h&r fronts and they are a little bit smaller at the top coil. so i'm guessing they're progressive. anyway, i'm going to put the GC coilovers in the back tonight.

do the GC coils (with "stock" GC rates)/koni's vs. h&r/koni's combos handle near the same? Or is one clearly better than the other?

Stock GC Rates are usually stiffer in the front than the rear, which is more stable a safe for street driving, if you autocrossing or track driving however you want a stiffer rear to promote rotation and limit understeer,
