Somethin real bad with my car today...please any help is appreciated.
This is on a stock '98 ITR with just AEM CAI
So today, me and a few friends were driving up to Great Lakes Dragway in Union Grove, Wisconsin. After we turned onto an open road, i punched it, and shifted to second hard. It grinded slightly, and i thought nothing of it. Then a few minutes later, i notice my clutch feeling a bit bumpy/clicky (??). When I would start off normally, my car would bog, and wheel hop at 1500-2000 rpms. I got to the track...and let it cool down. Everything seemed fine, so i tried to make a run. I launched at 5500, tried shifting to second...hit the rev limiter because my tranny was not shifting into gear. It would not go into 1st, 2nd, 3rd, or 4th gear. I put it in 5th and costed to the finish.
I then met up with some friends (one being cheezethis on this board) who were meeting us up at the track, and ask if they had any ideas. A few guys suggested that i should get my tranny fluid flushed, master and slave cylinder fluids replaced. Cheeze also commented that it could be my Rod Bearing (i think?) that was not allowing me to go into gear. Let me explain my problem a little bit more in depth...the higher the rpms are...the harder it is to shift into gear. Anything above 5000 will not go into gear. It is even hard to get it out of gear. Any ideas? Clutch going? Rod bearing? All help is GREATLY appreciated.

bet you bent da fork thingie in the tranny. forgot what that **** was called... eather that or a clutch spring.
rod bearing? hmm dont drive your car if it's that! anyways on to the real problem you just explained what tends to happen to clutches! it happens it's most likely the pressure plate or the clutch is gone! that's just my experience and I have seen it many many times. it sucks but dont worry too much just time to buy a new clutch. keep me posted on this!
It wouldn't be a rod bearing that is keeping you from shifting.....throwout bearing maybe....If it is a stock clutch then it is most likely the Clutch disc. The stock clutch disk has a sprung hub, meaning that there are springs in the center of the plate. On stock clutches, the metal around the spring likes to bend or break and lets the spring come out. when this happens it likes to bind up and not allow the clutch disc to spin freely, so even if you were to push the clutch pedal down the disc is not disengaging and not allowing you to shift unless the car is shut off. One way you can test it is to have the car shut off and put it in gear. With nothing in front of your car, push the clutch pedal in. Now start your car, if the car starts to move on its own with the pedal down then this is most likely the problem......it sounds clutch related to me.
