What shoudl i do.....
I have a 91 hatch with a b16 in it and i found a89 crx .... i was thinking bout putting my motor in it but how would i go about taking the wiring harness out... do i have to take the whole dash harness out or what....
Well are they both Si's? Cause the engine harness will swap in-between the 2 but thats about it. The chassis harnesses are completely different. So if they are both Si's you pull the motor you pull the other motor put in the mounts and the motor and plug it in. Well and of course do the necessary changes at the ECU as well.
well.. they both are dx.... that is my prob what should i do about my modified harness in my hatch.... do i have to take the whole harness out of the hatch and put it in the crx.. which would be quicker..... cause in the dx u have to wire up 2 more injectors and 2 o2sensor and the knock........

Well the engine harnesses will swap back and forth as for the other wires your going to have to disconnect them from the ecu and then run them on the CRX. You CAN NOT use the hatch interior harness in the CRX or vice versa unless you want to do some major rewiring. I would say just pull them out and rerun the wires from the ecu and you will be fine. The engine harnesses are the same so like I said earlier pull the one motor pull the other put in the mounts and motor than just run those extra wires to the ecu.

i'm pretty sure the 91 hatch engine harness will be different than the 89 crx one. i know jake (superhatch or whatever he calls himself these days) had problems with harnesses (but those were interior harnesses, weren't they????)....
so this might be an ignore post.
so this might be an ignore post.
there are 3 main harnesses....engine, underdash and interior. all the engine harness connects to the underdash one which in turn connectors to the interior harness.
in my very confusing way i was trying to say that the engine harnesses plugs that mate to the underdash harness might not be the same. if they are, then you are all set.
