Which bearings to use in a 1st gen B16?
you could go to your local honda dealer and order the rebuild kit, or go to a parts store and do the same...
most kits that are available are either manufactured in japan (good) or made by federal mogul (also good). i think the biggest thing here with durability is not the brand of parts used, but the time and care taken when installing these parts. are you rebuilding this engine yourself? is it your first time? if so, have someone show you how to properly use tools such as feeler gauges, plastigage, telescopic bore gauges, etc...

use the search function and put in "ACL". These are the bearings I am using in my B16a1 rebuild. They are cheaper and supposedly better than Honda bearings. If you have any doubts IM Rocket or Earl. They both sell ACL bearings and will likely answer any questions you have, AFTER YOU SEARCH.
you have to match the letters on your block with the numbers on the crank. With that combination you can figure out what color code you need. I don't have my Helms with me to look at the chart, but you could probably find one if you searched.
