Is there any way to bypass, rewire, or somehow get the check engine light off throwing a code for no knock sensor due to the fact I have an lsvtec setup with gsr harness. I cant pass inspection with the light on so I need help quick!!!

 

Someone wired a resister to it (i think 13k) and they said that the code went away. I will search and see.

 

ummm...i pulled the gauge pod out and removed the light, but i've never had to pass a smog test.

Only problem there is that the ECU will still throw the KS code and when it does, it makes the engine run like crap, makes it hesitate, and then runs in "limp" mode. The 10K OHM resistor does work, as I did it on a customer's car (per his request) and grounded it to the chassis. No KS cel's for over a month now.

 

why not mount a knock sensor?
