How to make interier quieter?
I just switched from a 00 Si to a 90 crx with a b16a swap. I love the car, I have wanted one of these for 10 years. However it is a lot louder on the inside than I would like it to be. What can i do to eliminate the outside noise. I was thinking of some of that audio mat stuff under the carpet? I am not into racing this car so the added weight is ok. This is just my clean little rex.
i just put over 100sq feet of the cheap dynamat extreme (peel n' seel). what made the biggest difference was covering the headliner (rooof of car under headliner)
one thing is the non-si's are going to have more road noise because they didn't come with near as much tar (sound deading material) in the car because they weren't the "luxory" models.
he could have the Si- he never stated what make he had. the crx's & hatch's (Si model) are still way louder than a newer car, so even if he has teh Si he may still prefer dynomat

I say gut it! woo hoo!
once you get it quiet it's still going to squeak, and rattle.
I just appreciate the added sound effects...
Or dynamat the crap out of it. I'd do behind the dash too. B16's are supa loud!
