Stupid Bose System
mebe wrong forum but... Has anyone just installed a deck and been able to bypass the bose config for the dc5s? all the shops ive went to say that you have to change out all the speakers and also lose the stock sub. tanks

Why bother changing the head unit (with 6-disc changer in dash) when you're not going to upgrade the crappy speakers? Might as well stay stock.

goto to circuit city or best buy.....they wont have an adapter specifically for your application, but there is a "general" hi-level to low-level converter that you can pick up for like $40.
btw this will only work if you dont have an factory installed external amp (not in the OEM headunit). if you DO have one you will STILL need the converter PLUS you will have to run new speaker wires to each speaker to essentially bypass the amp(s).
