how to lock shock assembly on rear AGX's?
is there a certain way to lock down the rear AGX shocks? the top of the shock has a flat portion to it, and as you tighten down the lock nut, the piston keeps on spinning. the only way i can think of from keeping it from spinning is to grab the flat portion with a pair of pliars (sp?) and clamping it down. i was wondering if there was a tool for this, so that i can tighten down the shock all the way, without having the piston to spin?
that was sorta unclear but if you talking about clamping the smooth silvery part of the shock you are stupid and you will void the warranty. At the top of the shock shaft there is a hole for an allen wrench. Put the AW in and tight the nut with a wrench. The AW keep the shaft from spinning and you can tighten it.
disregard this if im not talkin about what your talkin about.

At the top there should be a notch, allowing room for some vice grips or an 8mm wrench (I think its 8mm, maybe it was 6mm). So anyway grab it there and use and open ended wrench to torque it down. My AGX down't have an allen wrench hole. My stock shocks did though. The only other thing I've seen on AGX's is where the thread is split at the top, and you can grab the threaded area with a vice grip or 8mm wrench.
