*Did Search* Come questions about a HF. Want to Si swap...
Ok, well I wrecked the del Sol and I ran across a CRX HF for $300 today. The body is in excellent shape but the motor is just about dead. It idles super rough, takes forever to rev up, and when it revs down it goes down to like 100 RPM and almost stalls out.
Anyway, how hard will it be to swap a 88-91 CRX Si motor into it? Will I need the Si ECU and wire harness or can I use the HF ECU and harness. I was thinking maybe I can get away with using the HF ecu and harness considering the HF is MPFI. But I dont know nothing about that really... Also, what other parts will I need. I have to know by today so I can tell the guy I want it, so please help me out.
Thanks alot for those who can help me out!

yes, you could use the HF harness on the Si engine and the ECU but i wouldn't use the HF ECU because your engine will run like **** with it.
It's easy to put in an Si engine. It just bolts right in. As above, you should use the HF wiring harness, but not the HF ECU because it will throw a code when hooked up to the Si engine. The HF has EGR, but the Si does not, which is the source of the ECU code.
Everything will line up. Most wires will have a home, but you will leave the plug for the EGR unpluged. You mag have a fast idle thurmo valve or something like that on your new A6 intake manifold, if you do just leave it unpluged, th HF harness will not have aplug for that. And yes use a 90-91 Si ecu with a 89-91 Si tranny.
OH! And you may want to upgrade to Si axles, DX/Si front hub w/ breaks.

Ok cool. Now I have to see if the guy still has it. Tell my dad to IUO the money for the swap.
Its only $395 + shipping from nippon.
