Default Projector style headlights.....performance ?'s

What's your take on the PERFORMANCE aspect of these headlights that are usually offered on ebay. I saw a set I really like and it comes with all bulbs and even an OEM fog switch. This is for my 6th Gen sedan.

Is this what you are talking about? From what I've heard, you will lose a small amount of light output. Or are you talking about the ones with the angel eyes inside?

Nope, actually I'm referring to these:

The ones you posted do not look like projectors.

There's a whole lot of bulbage going on in those headlights. I've heard that "ebay" projector headlights don't put a very good beam on the road. They're more for looks. I guess it just depends on what you're looking for.

99% or more of the ebay projectors use a H3 bulb for the lowbeam. H3 is a foglight bulb. it puts out less light than any OEM lowbeam bulb does. not only that but it's filiment is oriented differently, so as to create a fog beam pattern instead of a low beam pattern. even if the quality of the projector they used was good, (and their quality is ****), they wouldn't put enough light down the road. they are borderline as to even providing enough light do drive safely at slow speeds at night. You couldn't pay me to put them on my car.

I'm looking for massive amounts of light on the road. Yes, I know I should go HID but I don't have the funds for that right now. Any other suggestions?? I'll just score a set of OEM fogs and maybe get a set of aftermarket driving lights for "higher speed" trips.
