What do you think about this!! need some oppinions
HI, I am looking into an EG or EK hatch. I just found a 97 DX hatch with about 90k. the body is pretty clean but the rear bumper is scratched pretty bad. I have not seen the car yet, but the seller wants $5000.
I dont think the car is worth that much....I offered them $4500, which I still think is a little high but fair.
1)What do you think??
2)is that a good price??
3)should I pick up the car??
where can I find more info about EG and EK civic?? I would like to have more information. Thanks all!!

sounds like a good price if all it needs is a bumper. i got my 96 dx hatch for 6500 a year and a half ago. they were asking 7000. they ranged from 6500 to 8500. i dunno about now. check http://www.kbb.com
I will check out the car before, but i just wanted to get a feel as to what you were all paying and what a fair price is...Thanks all!!! Hopefully I will be a new owner of a hatch soon!!!!!
make sure you drive it and take a good look at it b-4 you do anything you really shouldint even make an offer untill you see it!!
yea i got my car from auto trader and i just asked the guy if i could take it to a Honda dealership and had them to a full inspection for body damage, motor damage, and all other aspects of the car. they will give u a full print out of all things they need to be done and u can use that sheet to take money off of the price of the car depending on the price of the damaged parts needing to be replaced. it worked well for me.. good luck!
