Default How much would you pay? EK hatch

I have an oppurtunity to pick up a '96 dx hatch with 255k miles on it. The body is in perfect shape, its a perfect candidate for a swap. What do you think is a reasonable price to pay for it? Thanks,

Pfieff

I wasn't sure because I haven't seen one with this high mileage lately. The body is mint though.

bought an eg hatch for $1,600 with 285k on it, also everything was in perfect condition. i would say under 4k sounds like a reasonable price.

We don't "make it out." Bluebook value for excellent body condition is $3900 or so.

i wouldnt pay more than 1900 for a hatch with that many miles. theres no wayblue book says 4k or so. thats way too high. but it sounds like a good canidate for a swap. but other things are also gonna go wrong soon. youll need new bushings for the suspension, gravity has definately worn those out. not too mention the shocks and springs are gonna be shot. but coil overs shold help that. what kinda swap you wantin to do? itr is the sweetest swap out there

i looked at a silver 97 cx that has 190k on it...the guy drove it from new jersey to florida 3 days a week i beleive he said. he wanted 5200...was mint as hell....looked like it was from showroom...i passed though and ended up picking up a 97 cx purple with 82k SI cluster, ls wheels, gsr interior, custom catback and a thule roof rack for 4k...eventhough there were things done to it i changed it to make it "MY" car...im very pleased...but i wouldnt pay more then 3600 for it...thats a lot of miles...eventhough you are going to swap it...when u decide to sell it you wont get anything for it...and book value will be nothing privided you crash it.

I paid 2300 for my 97 cx perfect body and 130k. But i also found a great deal.

That motor is not worth too much to begin with, that is why i decided to have more fun and blow it up.
