I have a 88 crx si.The passenger seat belt could not retract, so it was useless,so i cut it out.Can i go to a honda dealership, and request a new seatbelt assembly, and do i have to pay for it? or because its a safety device,is it gonna be free.

 

Since you already destroyed you probley going to have to buy a new one or hit up the junk yard. If it was still in tack. I'm sure you could have taken it in to get checked out and possible replaced for free.

 

I didnt destroy it. It didnt retract, so it was useless. Kept on hitting the door messing up the paint, so i cut it. but your probably right, the dealer may charge me.

I know the honda dealership is going to charge a arm and a leg for a seat belt assembly. Does anybody on this board have one for sale for a 88 crx si?

Is the 88 CRX seatblet mechanism located in the door? Or on the pillar.

I have door mounted seatbelts from a 1990 CRX-Si, but I was thinking they aren't located in the door on an 88...

They are not mounted on the door, they are on the pillar.I need the passenger side assembly and the belt clip the buckle goes into......Do you have any pics? and how much would they be with shipping? Thanks.
