Default Convertible Top Cover

I bought a used '01 and it did not come with the convertible top cover? Were they standard or optional?

They're standard, but a pain to take on and put off anyway. You should put one on though if you're running with the convertible down for a while.

Standard in 01 as well. The car looks much better with it on. But sometimes when you need to raise and lower the top often, it's more trouble than it's worth.

Look on Ebay and http://www.s2ki.com, there are many of them for sale quite often.

oh ya, it's a terrible pain... I only do it if I plan on keeping the top down all day (like at an autocross) or something. I never leave the top down when I leave it unattended, so it's just a hassle to put the boot on and take it off all the time.

About 1-2 minutes. Pretty quick. Lays on top and just kinda snaps in. Then you spend the next 20 seconds kinda pushing on it so it seats properly. That's it.
