Default Yet another a/f and boost gauge question...

I just purchased a set of used autometer boost and a/f gauges however, the wires are rather short. Is there a certain gauge wire that I should use to extend it or does it really matter? Also, the boost gauge's power and ground wire are larger so I am assuming I will need a thicker gauge wire than the a/f gauge(if that makes sense ). Thanks in advance for any help.

I was wondering the same thing.. I have a a/f gauge with single strand small small wires (dont know the exact size). Will it matter if I use a slightly bigger multi-strand wire to extend them?

Not trying to thread-jack, our questions are pretty much the same thing.

led's are low current, so thick wire isnt necessary. but if it is all that you have, its ok.

I guess what i'm really worried about is the o2 signal wire for the a/f gauge. IS it a special kind or can I just get the same size wire to run it?

i think the wire off the gauge is like 20 or 22 ga. i have 16 ga lying around and used it. worked fine you should be ok.

you can use automotive wire like those of engine harness. your local autoshop or performance shop may have them.
