Default B16A with HyTech or SMSP header + 2.5" catback dyno results anyone?

Just wondering if anyone here with a B16A motor has the HyTech or SMSP header on their car with a full 2.5" catback that they have had dynoed. They have made very good results on the B18C's but I'm trying to find some dyno charts for what their B16A headers have done. My friend is ready to go with one of these pricey headers after seeing what the HyTech did on my car but we haven't been able to find any actual dyno results for the B16A so far. Any help?

i am hoping to get the smsp ss header and catback when they are ready, for a b18c5 though, in other words i have no possitive input towards your question, i just like talking about smsp b/c it is quality.
i think the gains on a b16 would be decent as well but you should talk to dave about it, the lower displacement might require a different/custom setup.

do you have any dynos of your hytech setup?

Yes I have dynos of the HyTech on my B18C5. But for the B16A, the header is a different size and length to work best with that specific motor. We're looking to get the HyTech or SMSP for his B16A but haven't come across any dynos of how those headers did yet.

i know the headers are designed different for the 2.0L compaired to the 1.8L, so i would assume the 1.6L would need different dimensions as well... why dont you just call dave and ask him to build a header for the b16 application, they are all custom for your mods, dispalcement, comp ratio, cams, ect.

Yes he is planning to get a B16A specific header built for his motor. But before he jumped in we decided to check around if anyone has had any dynos done before/after with these headers to see if they are worth it over the cheaper alternatives for the B16A. They have proved themselves for sure on the B18C and on B20/VTEC setups, but haven't seen anything for the B16A yet.

Just gotta know where to look for this stuff I really wouldn't say this is a best example of power made by Dave's header as this set-up was definitely bleeding compression due to the B's on OE B16 pistons. If I remember correctly, this was one of the first B16 versions that Dave sold. Have you inquired with Dave about plots? He tends to keep a lot of info on his headers from customers. Depending on the set-up of the B16 you plan to install this on, he may actually recommend a slightly different arrangement. I know when Foo ran his header in the SpeedVision series it was more inline with a B18 set-up due to the compression and headwork. Hope this helps!
