Default subaru hybrid part

kinda a poor title but its hard to explain, i had a radical new idea when i saw the overhead sunglasses holder in a friends subaru outback, when u press it it folds down so u can put sunglasses in it (duh). Now what i had planned is to take that large panel(also holds map lights) and trim it down so it is just the sunglasses section. Then cut a whole in the head liner, put in the holder, and put the head liner over the newly installed panel.looks smooth except for the cut section around the edge. now inside the holder i would but a regular DIN sized switch panel. So now when u press that section in the room the panel folds down. A) what do u think of the idea as a theoretical plan. B) what do u think of the actual fuctionality of it (would it fit and opperate properly). All input is appreciated

I like the sound of it. It's simple but very functional and it's the first one i've ever heard of. Pretty original. I say go for it. Lemme know how it goes. Good luck.

Oh and welcome to honda tech. i think you find that we watch each others back and that this is just one big family. If you need anything just im me (on aim). Remember to search a topic before you post. You won't look stupid and you won't get flamed (yelled at).

I agree it seems like a really cool idea but for me I think the gauges would be mounted too high but its all about personal preference!!
