what can i do to bypass pushing the clutch in to start my crx si?

Default what can i do to bypass pushing the clutch in to start my crx si?

i thought there would be a switch on the pedal but i did not see one. what can i do cause sometimes i really have to push it hard to the floor to start the car and it still wont start. is it a wire or what?

Are you sure that's why it's not starting? BTW, the switch is above the pedal, where the arm connects to the assembly.

quit being a wus and deal with it jk... if you do end up taking it off i would be careful to make sure its in neutral everytime u start it... ive seen many people forget and go lunging forward when they try to start their car... thats not a very good way to show off imo

Just follow the clutch pedal to the top and you will see it. I have remote start in mine and what I did was just cut and solder the 2 wires that go to it together so it thinks its always pressed in. I've never remote started it in gear but I have with me sitting in it and it does lurch forward pretty strong, its sort of funny.

one time i left my car in gear and went to start it and the starter actually started the engine and the car started driving. watch out with that remote start your car might run away.

nope, cause the 88's didnt have the clutch safety switch. my 88 hatch doesnt have one either

Thanks for the reply....... thats cool..... i didnt know that........i let my freind borrow my crx last week, and told me that he didnt push the clutch in,when the car turned over.I got all mad, thinking he might have broke somthing, lol....But i didnt know that about the 88 crx.
