Default Lost of flow using Icebox with Stock Intake hose??

just e-mailed comptech, just to make sure the Comptech UNI/Filter that I've purchased 2 weeks ago will fit the Ice Box using my stock intake hose. Like I knew it would, Comptech said it's ok to use, But stated that the only difference will be is that I'll loose some flow with the factory piping. Is this true??

Maybe a little air flow, but the stock intake is just as big as the comptech.

Not enough to notice, on the Dyno or the track. Waste of $$

They just want money in their pockets. Icebox is best for the stock/sleeper look. Keep the stock hose and put the money that is saved towards Headers.

I think what they meant was they'll lose a little of their cash flow if you don't buy the aluminum pipe .

Yes, you can use the stock filter...and with the Comptech filter I saw a gain of 1 whp and a loss of 1 lb/trq on the dyno. Not worth the money if you ask me. I'm sure that the K&N I got can do as good if not better for only $35.
